B.J.
Pastor B.J. Nordgren grew up locally in Calumet
City, IL and was saved and baptized at Fairhaven
Baptist Church in Chesterton, IN at the age of 19.
Soon he felt God's calling to preach the Gospel.
He gained valuable experience while in college by
assisting Pastor Curt Teesdale in starting
Independent Baptist Church in Chicago, IL. In
2001 he graduated from Fairhaven Baptist College
with a B.A. in Pastoral Theology and Greek. He
married Tammy Weldy and soon after they moved to
Utah where he was the Youth Pastor at Anchor Baptist
Church. Still carrying a burden for the souls
of his hometown, B.J. has been led of God to return
and start Chicagoland Baptist Church.
 Tammy
Tammy Weldy was saved and baptized at the
age of 5 at Grandview Baptist Church in Des Moines,
IA. She graduated from Fairhaven Baptist
College with a B.A. in Elementary Education.
After graduating, she utilized her degree by
teaching in a Christian School at Souls Harbor
Baptist Church in the inner city of Milwaukee, WI.
She married B.J. Nordgren and they moved out to Salt
Lake City, UT where he served as Youth Pastor.
God has blessed their family with four beautiful
children: Karis Leanne, Micah Daniel, Brenton David
and Benaiah Joseph. |
